A lot of people forget about these when pulling their headlight assemblies out. They protect the headlight bulb from getting dirty.

Some of these come where they are marked "back" so you know the difference. Some are not marked. If they aren't marked "back" in the rubber then the front side is the flat side and the back has the lip. You can also tell by looking at the installed picture.
