There's some good tricks in making sure your hub & drum are screwed down tight to help prevent annoying oil leaks that can ruin your brake shoes. This is a really good video showing you how to check to see if your Metro's steering is worn out or not. We show a car that has the original used components that have quite a bit of wear and then a car that has the steering restored correctly. Rebuilt steering & idler boxes, tie rods, & the tie rod ends up on the cross tube. Most steering systems have been neglected due to time and costs involved. Hopefully this instructional video gives you some good insight and helps you diagnose your Metro's steering.

Valve stem seals are always needed if your head still has the originals in it. Our new umbrella style modern valve stem seals are a much better design then the originals. Installation is easy with the correct tools and an air compressor. Hopefully this helps you keep your Metro from smoking and the oil away from your valves.
