Description
Up to E-26873.
Includes 2 bushings, oil seal, steering pin, felt bushing, plug, & hardened steel balls for the races. Both races, sector shaft, & worm gear machined as needed. Shimmed, preadjusted, & pregreased with synthetic grease. Need to add oil - either 80/90W or 75/90 synthetic. We highly recommend the synthetic oil.
All our boxes are degreased, bead / sand blasted, & primed.
Some suggested parts that you may need when pulling the steering box out with the motor in your car: EN21, EX9, & 2 FU28.
Also available in our Steering Kits.
Core Charge 200.00. We are no longer excepting an early steering box that was made out of brass, they aren't rebuildable (just the box, not the rest of the parts). The brass style was only on the boxes made in 53 & early 54. If yours is brass the core refund will be prorated since we can still use the rest of the parts, there will just be a deduction for the brass box. But please send your core into us as soon as possible, there is a very low supply of these.
When removing the pitman arm keep the nut on the sector shaft or you will damage the sector shaft. If you do not remove correctly it may make your core non-rebuildable, or at minimum you would incur a core charge to repair the threads and slow the core exchange process down.
