Description

Fits all Metropolitans.

What a pain these are to rebuild. They are professionally rebuilt by one of the best in the business and we've never had a defective or incorrectly rebuilt unit.

They are taken completely apart, bead blasted, & clear coated so they keep the shine. The valves are pressure tested to 20lbs and the original specs call for 4lbs so our heater water control valves won't leak as long as everything is original.

Reuse your original heater control clamp & spacers. If you need new spacers they are a CH22 or the gasket - CH23.

You will not need to purchase the Heater Water Control Valve Return Spring (CH34) as one will come with.

If your core's capillary tube is cut or all the gas has leaked out of the diaphragm our rebuilder can now fix correctly for an additional charge. So please still send in your core so we can have it rebuilt for another Metropolitan owner.

You may get a valve that doesn't have the correct length capillary tube - Please Read: Unfortunately we don't always get enough good cores that have a good capillary tube & diaphragm filled with gas. If you receive one like this, your diaphragm in the valve will still be correctly filled up with gas but you won't be able to connect the capillary tube to the heater (cut off short to repair). This is very minor and the valve will still work correctly. You will still get the correct range of motion and will be able to adjust the heat by pulling the heater cable in and out.

Note: Some of the early 54 Metros had a control valve where the inlet and outlet tube & the cable support arm were opposite of the one pictured. If you have this style of valve in a 1954 then you will need to send to us your original unit to be rebuilt on a special order basis. Or you can open up the hole on your firewall to match the more common style control valve we have pictured. The one pictured will not fit that style firewall without opening up the holes to match the valve.

Core Charge - 150.00.
